Sonya Clarke

Sonya specialises in property on and in the vicinity of Cap Ferrat, the ‘presque-ile’ situated on the French Riviera between Monaco and Nice, where she lives.

After an early career as a professional ballerina with The Royal Ballet, dancing at Covent Garden London, Sonya transitioned to investment banking in the City of London, including Salomon Brothers/Citigroup, heading up Credit Risk Management and Compliance departments, before advising on Corporate Foreign Exchange Risk Management Strategies at HiFX/Euronet Worldwide.

When personal circumstances dictated a change, she joined the small team of Engel & Voelkers’ consultants at St Jean Cap Ferrat where her performance has led to many awards within the company, including top sales-agent in France and Benelux for the last three years.

As Cap Ferrat is home to many international high net worth individuals, the quality of real-estate she trades in reflects the aspirations of her many clients and she is at ease in this rarified sector of the market where property prices per square metre are among the highest in the world.

She is driven by client satisfaction and is known for her willingness to ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure the demands of her often wealthy and exacting buyers and sellers do not go unheeded. This includes assisting with financing, where necessary, an area where she retains many useful contacts.
