Paul Turner

I graduated from Exeter University in 1983 with a honours degree in Economic History and Geography. I joined Mobil Oil Corporation as a Graduate Trainee and worked for the company for 14 years starting in the Retail Division in the UK and progressed through Sales, Fuels and Lubricants Marketing and Motorsport to become Regional Manager for London and the South of England for Commercial and Automotive Lubricants.

In 1992 aged 30 I was appointed as Managing Director of Mobil Oil Ireland based in Dublin and in 1994 was moved to Warsaw with my family and became President of Mobil Oil Poland. I was then promoted in 1996 to become Regional Director Sales and Marketing in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.

I left Mobil in 1998 and set up my own Motorsport Marketing company based in London and Warsaw focused on the World Rally Championship and Formula One. We ran our own Rally Team winning the European Rally Championship and The Polish Championship with Krzystof Holowczyz whom I managed. In 1999 I signed up young Estonian Rally Driver Markko Martin and managed his career during which he won 5 World Rallies driving for Subaru, Ford and Peugeot. I also managed Australian driver Chris Atkinson who drove for the Subaru World Rally Team.

Turning Point was a key partner of ISC and F1 Management and owned and distributed the television rights for WRC across Eastern Europe from 1999 until 2010 and Formula One in Poland from 2003 until 2010. We worked with many leading global companies in motorsport marketing around the world.

in 2011 I invested in the Sasol Rally Team in South Africa supporting Jon Williams who partnered Mark Cronje. In 2012 Mark won the South African Championship and we were the first private team to achieve this success for 30 years.

In 2011 I bought the exclusive rights to the Engel and Volkers Real Estate brand in Cape Town South Africa. I am the CEO of this fast-growing business focused on residential sales and rentals on the Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl. We own and operate shops in Camps Bay and Gardens in the City Bowl. With a diverse team of 30 dedicated and energetic staff we have built a professional reputation in the Cape Town market valued for the quality of our service and the diversity of our team.
